Green Clay Plum and Pine Bark Japanese Teapot ORIGIN_Hasami Ware unified by an exquisite senseThis small ceramic teapot, known in Japan as a kyusu, features a gentle green base adorned with hand painted red plum blossoms. Its lightweight, compact form fits comfortably in one hand. The bodys textured surface is created using a traditional technique called itome. After shaping the body and letting it dry, a slightly viscous layer of clay called nota is applied. Threads are then gently pressed into the surface, causing the clay to rise and form
