Convento San Lorenzo 'Ventum' Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG, 2019 rakau and balanced acidity and creaminessThis wine is made of 100% Nebbiolo. We would pair it with veal osso buco. The Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG is known for powerful red wines made from dried Nebbiolo grapes. It is a passito wine, but unlike the other sweet ones, it is classically dry, having more in common with Amarone della Valpolicella. Sforzato literally translates to "forced", and is a method of forcing the grapes to concentrate their sugars and obtain higher alcohol and depth.
