it's very possible it was referencing the same (seemingly very generous) John McKean Esqr
It's finished in gorgeous turquoise enamel on the front
Complete with the original tooled leather presentation case
and beautifully modelled - we've added the bail and jump ring to what was once a stick pin
Victorian Gold & Elephant Hair Bangle horn I have no idea whatDATE: Victorian, c. 1870 Excellent antique elephant hair bangle made during the 19th century British occupation of India, known as the British Raj. Exotic souvenirs such as this were returned home by Brits serving time in the 'Crown Jewel of the Empire'. This one's crafted in 9ct gold featuring four bands of elephant hair with gold spirals around the outers, and dates from the mid Victorian era, circa 1870. MEASUREMENTS Wearable length: 7. 2 inches
