18th Century Derby Chelsea “Cupid on Pedestal with Hearts” Porcelain Fob Pendant silde the Theatre Mask for ComedyDATE: Georgian, c. 1770 An original 18th Century porcelain Derby Chelsea period fob seal. This particular piece features Cupid with a basket full of hearts, and displays the vivid colouring typical of the Derby factory. The design is older, however, originating from the earlier work of the Chelsea factory there is evidence to suggest that a collection of some 300 moulds was transferred from the Chelsea factory to the Derby factory in the second part
