Victorian "Mrs. Newman" Opal & Diamond Heart Pendant rose quartz The anchor traditionally represents HopeDATE: Victorian, c. 1890 In the 1860s Mrs Charlotte Newman did the unthinkable. She started a jewellery manufacturing business in a male dominated industry (weren't they all?), eventually owning her own shop on Saville Row and winning numerous medals and awards. She was a highly skilled goldsmith, crafting stunning pieces in a range of archaeological and contemporary (then) styles, from Byzantine to Renaissance Revival, exhibiting in 1867 and 1878
