On the face of the plate is a scene of people gathered near a European garden gate. The transfer is a deep pinkish purple fuchsia color. The border of the plate is my favorite. It is a an intricate scale pattern with 3 small cartouches containing birds and flowers and 3 larger cartouches containing a large floral bouquet. These are trimmed in a stunning aqua blue
