Art Deco Chrysocolla Earrings love token By the 13th century glassmakingDATE: With vivid colours akin to Persian turquoise and lapis lazuli, these striking earrings feature carved chrysocolla a minor ore of copper, its name translated from the ancient Greek for "gold" and "glue", alluding to the name of the material first used to solder gold by Theophrastus in 315 BC. Prior to 2006 it was considered to be a hydrated copper phyllosilicate mineral, however further spectrographic study indicates it may be a mixture of copper
