Victorian Star Sapphire Spider & Web Brooch by Carlo Giuliano acrostic Largest stone: 10DATE: Victorian, c. 1900 A simply stunning, and really quite unusual, Giuliano brooch modelled as a spider on its web. The craftsmanship is (of course) exceptional, with a superb level or detail realism. The two body segments are set with different cabochon gemstones: the head thorax with a ruby and a citrine, and the abdomen with a star sapphire. It's crafted in 15k gold and silver, and dates from the turn of the 20th Century offered in the original
